Attending the Erasmus+ CircAbility camp in St. Gilgen was truly a life-changing experience—one that I will cherish forever. During these two weeks, I rediscovered my confidence, pushed my limits, and gained countless new experiences, each leaving an unforgettable mark on my heart.
Before this, the circus world was completely new to me, but throughout the camp, I learned so much—not just about circus skills but also about myself. I challenged myself in ways I never had before, stepped outside my comfort zone, fulfilled some of my dreams, and proved to myself that I am capable of so much more than I ever thought possible.
A Place Where I Truly Felt Welcome
From the moment I arrived, I felt a genuine sense of belonging. The organisers had carefully designed an inclusive and accessible environment, ensuring that everyone—regardless of their physical abilities—could move around, participate fully, and feel comfortable. I had never experienced accessibility and inclusion at this level before, and it made a huge difference in how I felt.
The People Who Made It Special
What truly made this experience unforgettable were the amazing people I met. They accepted me without hesitation, seeing me for who I am, beyond my disability. For the first time in three years, I felt fully included in a community. By the second week, it was clear—I wasn’t just part of a camp; I was part of a family.
The Best Experience of My Life
Circability camp was, without a doubt, the most incredible experience I have ever had. It gave me:
Confidence in myself and my abilities
Wonderful friendships that I will cherish forever
Memories that will stay with me for a lifetime
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this inspiring and transformative project.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible! 💙🎪
